Absolute gem

Wonderful property inside and out. The cottage itself is modern and cozy with a fully-stocked kitchen (and top notch appliances) and has exceptional unobstructed views of the lake. The property sits on a double-lot of flat terrain (rare in the area), so very usable and great separation from neighbours. Water access via sandy beach is great for kids and pets. Bunkie is a nice bonus. The road is quiet and part of a circular loop that is perfect for walks. This place is an absolute gem. Close to the Marriott/the Rock which is convenient for dining out/golfing. We have been going for five+ years and Earl and Linda are fantastic responsive hosts.

Ideal for Retirees and grandkids

We have had the pleasure of renting this beautiful cottage on Royal Muskoka Island, Lake Rosseau, a piece of heaven to be there sitting on the dock looking at a beautiful water view/sunsets. The cottage is so beautiful and a well equipped kitchen. Beautiful bathrooms, big tv, great music sound system. It has it all. We will be going back for sure.

Family Vacay

We give Earl's place a 5* rating all around. Earl and Linda met us there on check in to give us the tour. The cottage was immaculate, perfect for three families and our two young grandchildren under two. Linda had everything in the cottage for us, including bedding, linens, beach towels etc. The kitchen was well stocked with your everyday needs. The property was beautiful with a walk out to the lake and a sandy area to play with our grandchildren. The dock was a nice way to spend the afternoon. The bay was very quiet at this time of year but you could see the boats go by on Lake Rosseau. Earl had a canoe, paddleboards, kayaks as well. We will definitely return to this paradise in Muskoka. Thanks for everything Earl and Linda.

When we planned this get away so many months ago, we envisioned a quiet enclave looking out at the natural beauty and greenery of Muskoka while dangling our feet in the water at the end of a lovely dock...while guess what? This wonderful cottage offers all that and more.

In a nutshell it features:

A spacious combined kitchen and great room fully equipped with every household appliance under the sun;

Three comfortable bedrooms and newly renovated bathrooms;

Close proximity to Port Sandfield, Port Carling, The JW Marriott and any other hi-lights of this stunning area;

Deer, porcupines, ducklings, rabbits, toads, and chipmunks frolic throughout Royal Muskoka Island (more of a peninsula).

Great showers, air conditioning system, filtered water and more.

This list could go on and on. Suffice it to say that my husband , myself and our adult children had fantastic week made possible by wonderful hosts who's [sic] conscientious and precise attention to detail put them in a league of their own.

Much thanks for making the 5 star vacation of our dreams come true.

You won’t be disappointed with this property. Earl and Linda have a beautiful place on Lake Rousseau and they always answered any questions promptly. The cottage is super clean and the layout worked great for us. Kitchen is stocked with everything. The owner met us their and showed us the property which was great. Free boat launch very close if you bring your own boat. Great wifi and beautiful views. Fire pit was awesome and they supply all the wood. They even had a fresh bouquet of flowers that were beautiful and lasted the whole week.

The title describes my stay!!! Needed to get away from the stressful world and this cottage, Earl & Linda, the lake, everything, was a perfect match! We were so impressed with how impeccable the cottage was, how the grounds were so nicely kept, and how beautiful the scenery was. If I could return and buy the whole thing, I would! I would highly recommend this cottage. It has placed ever lasting memories in mine and my family's heart! "It was heavenly!" -Huge thanks to Earl & Linda!

This was my first time renting a cottage and it was a very pleasant one. The place was clean and everything worked perfectly. All of the amenities were exactly as described. The owner was pleasant and very helpful. The location was great. Nice shallow sandy beach and a beautiful point and dock to sit on. Very quiet with almost no car traffic. Great for walking. The cottage was comfortable and all of the appliances, furniture and bedding were like brand new. I would definitively recommend the place and stay there again myself.

We enjoyed a fantastic week at Earl's cottage! The cottage was spotless upon arrival. The property is large, well maintained and the views are beautiful. Check in was easy and we were relaxing by the lake in no time. The kitchen is generously outfitted with high-end appliances and all the kitchen wares you need. All the toys were supplied for a fun time on the lake — kayaks, canoes and paddle boards. This week was easily the highlight of our summer and I recommend spending some time at this cottage. The only problem was that we didn't want to leave : )

Cottage is exactly what you see on the website. It is a beautiful cottage and a beautiful property. The kitchen is huge with ample workspace, top of the line appliances and lots of dishes, cutlery, mugs etc. The bedrooms have excellent beds, pillows, bedding. The two bathrooms have excellent showers, tons of beautiful white towels , face cloths etc. The cottage was spotless — I felt like we had won the lottery for a week. The grounds are just as nice — great Muskoka chairs — lovely dock — immediate access to the water.

Modern, private beach property with nice large waterfront (two lots) with a sandy beach on a sheltered cove on Lake Rosseau. The owners met us at the property and showed us everything we needed to know to enjoy ourselves, and were very responsive to any questions later. Our family and golden retriever loved it and are hoping to come back.

Earl and Linda are amazing hosts. Every need was attended to in a timely and caring manner. Their home is as beautiful and so clean and tidy, with everything you need to relax, rejuvenate and have fun! The beds are Very comfortable and cozy. The lighting is great and the fireplace is gorgeous and cozy with Alexa at your command for any music you want to enjoy. The kitchen is so much fun to cook in! I honestly don’t want to leave ! The property helper, Ashley, was wonderful and did some shopping for us which during this time was a godsend! The walls are lovely and quiet this time of year which is perfect. This is a five star home with five star owners.

Everything went off without a hitch. Earl met us at the property (he even had a fire going in the fireplace) and gave us all the information we needed to maximize our enjoyment for our 4-night stay. Great location and super peaceful. Every day there would be deer almost right up on the deck! Great time had by all!

This property exceeded our expectations! It was beautifully renovated, exceptionally clean and well stocked. The proximity to the lake is extremely rare with the deck being steps away from the dock. We had an amazing week at the cottage and just wanted to say thank you for a wonderful experience. The kids had so much fun and we were able to relax, play, boat and enjoy each other’s company. The cottage is especially fantastic for small children as there are no dangerous stairs like many muskoka cottages. The lake access is shallow and shady and the kids had so much fun playing in it!

Private lakefront oasis with modern amenities

Earl's property (inside and out) is spectacular. The lake frontage is huge, with many seating options offering different views of the lake. We really enjoyed the variety of water toys (paddle board, canoe, kayak, etc.) offered with the property. Neighbours at adjacent properties very quiet and friendly. There's a sandy beachfront with easy access to the water for kids and dogs, and water is extremely calm. The accommodations in the house were exceptionally clean with amazing water views. Great open concept family room and kitchen (kitchen is huge and has all the tools and appliances a chef could want). Elevated BBQ area outside is great. There are TVs throughout the house if you want them, and bathrooms are spacious and modern. Wish we could have stayed longer!

We had a fabulous week at this cottage.  As a Canadian now living in the US, it was wonderful to be back in the beauty of Northern Ontario, and this was the perfect place to do it. Earl was great to deal with, and quick to respond to all of our inquiries. The cottage was beautiful, clean and well appointed. We spent many hours outside, taking in the breathtaking views of Lake Rosseau from this great property. It was a perfect location to explore the nearby towns.
